About Taieri Gorge Railway:
The Taieri Gorge Railway is Dunedin's tourist train operating from the historic Railway Station right in the center of town. Departing daily, the train takes you on a four-hour journey through the rugged and spectacular Taieri River Gorge, across wrought iron viaducts, and through tunnels hand-carved more than 100 years ago, all the way to Pukerangi - and back again. And with full commentary, photographic stops and on-board refreshments, the train offers year round, all-weather entertainment coupled with a unique history lesson.
From the comfort of your carriage you'll see some of the most stunning scenery in the country - perhaps even the world! And if you're worried about not seeing much during winter, worry no more: Taieri Gorge Railway is rated one of the best all-weather activities in the country, so you'll never have a bad day on the train.
A child is defined as all people aged 3-15 years. Children two years and under are free. Additional children cost just $28 per child.
