Kid's Mini Chef Cooking Program

Online Studies:

On enrolment, you will receive your own login for access to the full course programme, and step by step instructions to guide you along the way.  Your child will need access to a computer/laptop for instructions and will upload photographs or their completed dishes for the Chef Instructors to see.  They will need to research ideas for their Mystery Basket Ingredients to surprise our Chef Instructors with their creations.

The full course will be completed from your own home, via our Learner Management System.

Our Key Benefits will ensure you stay motivated whilst studying with International Culinary Studio.  Once registered, your Student Experience will be accessible and your learning material available on any pc, portable or mobile smart device (see technology requirements).  Our Chef Instructors will be available and will guide you through your programme to successful course completion.

Baking Course Outline:

• Introduction to Food Safety and Hygiene
• Correct Dress for the Kitchen
• Recognising Kitchen Equipment
• Introduction to a Glossary of French Kitchen Terminology
• Tour a Virtual Kitchen and learn the equipment, hygiene and chefs tips
• Learn how to plan a production workflow
• How to write a shopping list for your recipe
• How to work out how much your recipe costs
• Bake the following list of recipes:
  • Meringues or Pavlova
  • A range of shaped, and different flavoured Biscuits, and how to decorate
  • Choose from a range of filled Cupcakes or bake a Cake and decorate
  • Swiss Roll, filled, rolled and presented
  • Chocolate Mousse served with a Biscuit Tuille

  • Learn how to make FRESH Pasta and a Tomato Based Sauce
  • Learn to make Parmesan Wafers and a Dip (using Mystery Basket Ingredients)
  • Design and cook a Main Course and Dessert (using Mystery Basket Ingredients)
  • Bake and Decorate your own filled Cupcakes using Icing and Piping Techniques
  • Learn how to work with Chocolate and make Chocolate Moulds, which make great gifts for family and friends
