Hi Elizabeth, it All depends on what you need painting so if it was a new wall it will take a bit longer then normal plus Elizabeth if for example you buy a 10 hour voucher and we only use 5 hours we can always come back to your place and use the rest of the hours at a later date.

I'm looking at painting the exterior of my whole house. Its a plaster 2 story house, I know paint isn't included but is it possible to obtain a quote on how much paint will be and roughly how many hours it would take to paint. Thanks

Hi Harley, I have a number of colonial windows on my house that need to be re-painted properly as moisture is leaching through where the glass meets the mullions. I have no idea how many hours to buy. Is it possible for you to have a look? I am in Kohi. rgds Andrew

since it is 2 storys high you will need to get scaffolding in as it is a safety measure we need to take. if you could email me some more details about your house (including damage how old it is) that would be great my email address is harley@dkpainters.co.nz

painting the windows will not guarantee a barrier to stop the moisture leaching through where the glass meets the mullions, i just got off the phone to one of my painters and he says you will need to get a glass guy in to seal the windows again so the moisture stops coming in then we can come in and paint them for you.
Wendy Flint commented over 10 years ago. Hi. How long would it be likely to take to prep and paint the outside of a 25 year old hardy plank 3 bedroom house? It has aluminium windows. It is single storey but around the back it is quite high. How would I know if I need scaffolding and do you spray it at all or just use a brush? Many thanks

Hi Wendy the best way to tell if u need scaffolding is to imagine urself twice as high as you are now standing next to your house if u don't think u could touch the roof then you need scaffolding also it is very hard to give u a estimate because alot of things can make it take longer so the best thing I can do is send our quotes guy out to u but he has family problems at the moment and won't be back for another 3 weeks if u could email me at harley@dkpainters.co.nz I'll see what I can do for you

Hi, can u just prep some surfaces ready to paint as we have quite abit of work that needs doing, I would like you to paint some as well and am thinking of pushing the 15 hr voucher. Do I have to supply all materials needed, I have some paint but probably not enough but need to know costs ?
