"The standard individual account fee is $20 every six months, if the customer does not take up the offer before 30 June 2016.
If the customer takes up the offer before 30 June 2016, the account fee will be waived for the life of the card.”

For the life of the card refers to that card on your card account. So as long as that particular card on your account stays open then you will have the same privileges. If your card expires or needs to be replaced, the offer will continue. If you close that card or close the credit card account down then that offer would no longer be valid. Standard card account fees apply to any additional cards opened on your account at a later date :)
