I've spoken to Waikato River Explorer and they have informed me that lunch is not included, although it is a 2pm departure time. So plenty of time to have a bite to eat before you head off.
There is a cafe located there with a lunch menu for adults and children.

Yes that is correct and they will reopen on the 11th October. So you will be able to only use it for Myster Creek until the 11th October.
