Embark on an adventure that's truly out of this world. Take your seat in the 360-degree all-sky planetarium theatre, strap on your imaginary spacesuit, pretend you're part of the Jetson family, and gaze at 3,500 brilliant stars and planets above you. And because the whole presentation is delivered by digital technology with surround sound, you will be able to enjoy amazing views of the evening sky in any kind of weather, at any time of day.

Stardome is a unique and fun learning adventure for the whole family. The foyer is filled with interesting displays and interactive exhibits, plus multi-media shows featuring astronauts, black holes and everything else outer space-related are presented in the Planetarium every night and on weekend afternoons. The shows change every month too, so if you decide to become a regular space traveller there are always new voyages of discovery and exploration on the horizon.

Stardome Observatory and Planetarium is located in Cornwall Park on the lower southern slopes of One Tree Hill (or Maungakiekie), one of Auckland's volcanic cones and most prominent natural landmarks. Please note, gravity still exists in Stardome, so don't get too excited and start throwing yourself around the room. You will fall down.
