Hey Ian, Yes they take place in a specifically designed gym in Papamoa (Southpaw TFW Gym) I am the trainer, my name is Michael Roach I am a level 2 accredited and affiliated Training for Warriors coach.(the only 1 at this time in NZ)
I have 16 years experience as a professional personal trainer my initial entry level qualification was a 'Diploma in fitness training' (AUT 2001-2003) where I interned as a gym instructor at the NZ institute of sport) but I have had regular(minimum twice yearly) ongoing training since then.
note worthy qualifications would include.
RKC Dip Russian kettlebell training (USA 2005)
AKI Kettlebell trainer (2006) (AUS)
Crossfit level 1 trainer (2008)
CF Olympic lifting Coach (2008)
CF gymnastic coach (2008)
I have held Senior PT/S&C coach positions at Glenfield leisure centre (Auckland),crossfit Auckland, City kickboxing/MMA
Please be aware my training systems/philosophies bear little resemblance to "crossfit" and I am in no way affiliated to them.
