Jacinta Graves commented over 7 years ago. Hi. Can you please advise if it has an animal deterent, eg so rats/mice to not want to make a nest in it and does it need anything extra done to stop it falling out (or will it stay snug)?. Thanks
Emma from GrabOne commented over 7 years ago. Hey Jacinta!

Carla Mcdougall commented over 7 years ago. Hi Jacinta, No quality insulation actually contains rodent deterent. Rodents will nest anywhere that it is warm and there is a good food supply nearby. This can include walls, ceilings and underfloor, inside, behind fridges etc etc. The main thing to make sure of is that there is no rubbish or food source for them around however in some rural areas this may not be possible. If there are rodents around then you need to treat these by placing rodent bait in the ceiling man-hole, under the floor where the pets can't reach such as in an approved, safe, waterproof bait stations. If you have rodents the risks are actually much higher to wiring and some pipes and it is interesting that many insurance companies will not pay out for rodent damage. If Rodents are not treated then they will always find somewhere to nest....therefor not insulating your home to prevent rodents is not a good idea. They can live in the woodshed, garden and other places too. Any insulating material will be the same in this regard....its the actual rodents that need to be treated. I hope this helps and thanks for asking, Carla
