Nathan Kirkwood commented over 8 years ago. Hi, in your deal it mentions 1 deer per 2 hunters - how does that work ? If I was to buy the deal for 2 hunters would this mean only 1 of us gets a shot ?

Matthew from Total Safari commented over 8 years ago. Hi guys, if there is two of you booked together we have included the first deer. Additional deer are $175 if you want one deer each. There are also wild goats here,so the option to shoot a couple of them is there too at no extra cost...(This is for two or more people booked at the same time). As it is an overnight experience we can also do a night rabbit/possum hunt and target shooting during the day at no extra cost.

Booking as a single, I assume that each person would get to shoot, and consequently share the cost of the second deer?
I'm not interested in trophy hunting, could I just shoot for the meat? Would you be able to butcher the animal for me or would I have to take it to a nearby processors?

Matthew from Total Safari commented over 8 years ago. Hi guys,So here we go! Spikers are 1st year stags that only have two spikes instead of developed antlers and hinds are the female of the species.

Fist deer is included per two people and there are other animals like goats/possums rabbits and peacocks to shoot at no extra charge.

For single shooters we will pair up individuals and make arrangements about who shoots what, and the extra cost of a second deer if required.

All animals are to be taken by the people in the party basic animal preparation and butchery can be done on site or animals can be taken whole -skinned or not.

We have butchers in Wellington that can help if you want processed stuff like sausages/patties etc.

Finally, firearms licence is not necessary and you can use your own guns. We do prefer ours as they are suited to purpose and we know they shoot straight out to 350 meters. If bringing your own gun, please spend some time sighting it in to at least 200/250 meters.
