About Cob Cottage:
You'd struggle to find anywhere in the world with more rustic charm than Off The Mapp's Cob Quarters. This completely self-contained cottage is perched on the banks of the Waihopai River in the Marlborough high country and permeates history, charm, and high country hospitality. Built in the early 1900s when sheep were driven through to Molesworth and Hanmer, this fascinating building has been lovingly restored to provide you with a one-of-a-kind retreat.
Relaxing is mandatory and made easy with separate sleeping and living spaces. The spacious bedroom offers a queen bed and four natural timber bunks. In the living area unwind in front of an open fire, or sit and enjoy the views of the mountains from the rear veranda. The front deck provides a perfect spot for breakfast in the morning sun. BBQ gas cooking is on the rear veranda.
The separate indoor bathroom is a luxury, and a short path from the deck leads to the heated outdoor shower on a ledge overlooking the river and our wonderful gas-fired hot baths, which are best enjoyed under the stars.

About Off the Mapp:
Off the Mapp is based at Spray Point Station on the Spray River in the Waihopai Valley. Established in the 1900s as a high country sheep station, Spray Point Station has always reflected the lives of the people who live there. Today the station displays Jenny and Roland’s own passions for the environment, restoration and rural history. They bring to the station a wealth of experience from farming and forestry to environmental protection, as well as the perspective gained from wide-ranging travel.
