Cynthia Sherwood commented over 7 years ago. I've never used Uber for a ride, so thought this would be great - especially as I used two taxis last Saturday night.
Purchased the coupon, downloaded the app, tried to load the promo and it won't let me.
I recall that once there was an introductory free ice-cream promo, which was "run out" when I tried to requested it. So I deleted the account in disappointment - have never received any item/service from Uber.
So - no free ice-cream then, and now no first ride bonus for me to use on Saturday.
Guess I'll have to continue to use taxis.
Can I get a refund on this, please - as although I have never had a ride, Uber doesn't want to honour the "first time rider" coupon. Thank you.

Kirstin - This deal is "Valid for uberX and uberBLACK where available.", an uberX has a standard of 4 passenger seats.

Cynthia - This deal is "Valid for new Uber riders only towards the first ride only." meaning if your phone number had been registered to an account previously, this coupon would not be valid for it. Penny - Unfortunately not, if you have used Uber anywhere, it will not be classed as "the first ride only"

Kawkaba - Whether a coupon is valid for your ride or not depends on the Uber account that you have used previously. If your last coupon was used with your husbands Uber account and you have started a NEW Uber account in your name with your phone number, this coupon will be valid for THAT account.

The booking process via the app did not ask for a promo code, so I was unable to use the voucher. I tried to register again on a desktop, using a different email address but, or course my mobile number was the same but it would not let me. I have no taken my first ride. How can I redeem this voucher? Thank you

My husband has the app on his phone already, he has never booked or used a ride before. We plan on using our voucher tomorrow night and want to make sure there will be no dramas and it will work properly?
