About the coaches:

Sailing his whole life, Laurie completed his first Trans-Tasman crossing when he was only three, living on a boat with his parents until he was five years old. He's made his career sailing professionally on the World Match Racing circuit, climbing to 5th in the world rankings and coaching at the 2012 Olympics games. Laurie also worked with Yachting New Zealand as the Coaching Development Manager before taking on the role of Sailing Director at the RNZYS. A qualified Yachting NZ Regatta Coach and a YNZ Coach Developer, he's here to help you learn the ropes.

The RNZYS' professonal coach, Guy has been running the world's most successful youth training programme at the Squadron for over ten years. Many of his students have gone on to race in the America’s Cup, World Match Racing Tour and more amazing professional achievements. With a lifetime of sailing knowledge, he's an absolute expert as well as a qualified Yachting NZ Regatta Coach and RYA Power Boat Instructor.
