Thank you for your question. Our specialty is only teeth whitening, so we do not provide dental procedures of cleaning and scaling.

With the tools the dentist uses for it, sometimes the gum can get inflammation. Basically they will be removing the pellicle layer coating from the tooth enamel. For your teeth this is a naturally forming protein layer that covers teeth enamel to protect them from acids produced by oral micro organisms after consuming available carbohydrates and sugars. Once removed, it can take 7 days to completely grow back.

I recommend my clients to wait 14 days to ensure the pellicle layer has enough time to regrow otherwise you risk your teeth to hypersensitivity.
