Kirsten Cheung commented over 7 years ago. Hello is it possible to get the $49 deal to include an eye exam & lenses but not frames? I would like to use my own frame just need an updated eye exam & lenses. Thanks
Odette Morris commented over 7 years ago. Hi there, if I had my own frames, would I be able to use this deal to have the lenses put in them? Also, how much extra would you charge for the anti-reflective coating on the lenses. Cheers
Emma from GrabOne commented over 7 years ago. Hey Guys!
Thanks for your question and interest in this deal! We have contacted the merchant to get some more details and will have an answer for you as soon as possible :)
Shahin - Gaz commented over 7 years ago. Hi Kirsten, no sorry the eye exam is only part of the $69 deal. Also if you use your own frame the lab charges a fitting surcharge of $25 but we will put the anti-reflection coating on for free (This this worth $50). So the total cost to you would be $69+$25=$94 to have the exam, lenses with AR coating fitted to them. Which I believe is unbeatable by any other optometry practice in nz :)
Thanks
Shan
Shahin - Gaz commented over 7 years ago. Hi Odette, see above answer :)
Thanks
Shan
Kirsten Cheung commented over 7 years ago. Thanks Shan. I now understand the eye exam is only available for the $69 deal. However I do not understand the reason of us having to pay extra $25 while you could actually save on the frames? Does the $69 deal not include fitting in lenses?
Shahin - Gaz commented over 7 years ago. Hi yes it has to do with second hand frames causing fitting issues with bends and imperfections in them etc. along with other unusual features some frames have etc... therefore because of not using our frane and incuring the extra cost we apply the coating which cost $50 for free :)
nicola paston commented over 7 years ago. I wear contacts. Will the eye exam let me know if my prescription requirements have changed. Thank you.
Shahin - Gaz commented over 7 years ago. Hi Nicola, if you have a written prescription of the lenses you have been wearing and have a pair to wear in to the exam then yes we can determine the new powers for you etc. if you don't have these 2 requirements then we can do a new refitting for you for $45 which includes a pair of monthly/fortnightly lenses and an aftercare visit to determine the best prescription. Thanks :)
